Safe Space Shelter reopened on November 12 with the help of staff and volunteers!
We are so grateful to everyone who helped make our move possible, and would like to give a huge THANK YOU to each and every person who supported the move this week. Volunteers helped with unpacking and organizing the kitchen, dorm, and office areas and assembling cots to welcome new shelter guests.
With the first part of the relocation complete, we opened with 25 beds for women and began the construction phase to allow Safe Space to reach previous capacity. We returned to full capacity in December 2024, with 64 beds serving women and men. Support for Safe Space helps bridge the gap between homelessness and housing stability by offering a safe place to rest, refocus, and have a better tomorrow!
