Volunteers

As a volunteer you’ve chosen to donate your time to support programming at Model Cities, Inc. Volunteers are not employed by Model Cities, Inc nor entitled to monetary compensation for goods or services provided. Volunteers may decline to participate at any time as needed, before or during the activity they are participating in. When possible, it is helpful for Model Cities to receive notice from Volunteers if they are declining participation.

For certain types of activities additional information and background checks may be necessary. Model Cities will provide more information if that is the case. Model Cities will create safe conditions for participants, staff, and volunteers, however volunteers will voluntarily assume all personal risks when participating in activities with Model Cities.
Volunteers should engage in conduct that is ethical and appropriate when participating in Model Cities activities on or off Model Cities grounds. Model Cities Staff, Board, or Representatives reserve the right to ask a volunteer to leave an activity, or to refuse future participation if Volunteers’ conduct is harmful or unsafe. Model Cities asks that Volunteers forgo participation if they are or have been in contact with someone who is feeling ill (flu, cold, COVID, etc).

As a volunteer, I understand that there are risks involved in the activities I may participate in. I agree not to hold Model Cities, Inc, or any of its staff, volunteers, officers or representatives, responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may happen while I am volunteering.
