Sankofa

 

Sankofa Supportive Housing provides permanent supportive housing for youth and young adults ages 17-25 who are either pregnant or parenting a child under the age of three years old. Households served through Sankofa must meet the State of Minnesota’s definition of “Long Term Homelessness,” which includes households who lack a permanent place to live continuously for a year or more, or at least four times in the past three years.

 

625 Chatsworth

This apartment building was purchased in 2005, and its original rehab was completed in 2008. This is an eight-unit building consisting of all one-bedroom apartments. It includes a full laundry room and storage for each unit. Additional amenities are provided in the adjacent 990 Lafond building. A 2017-18 rehab project included utility improvements, a new community room (with a new computer lab), and a new playground.

 

990 Lafond

This apartment building was purchased in 2005 and its original rehab was completed in 2008. This is an eight-unit building consisting of all one-bedroom apartments. It is the sister building to 625 Chatsworth. It includes a full laundry room and storage for each unit.  It also includes a meeting room and computer lab for residents. A 2017-18 rehab project included utility improvements, a new community room (with a new computer lab), and a new playground.
