Flynn Room
The Flynn Family Community Room is a multi-use space, perfect for small receptions, meetings, conferences, seminars, and more.

Flynn Family Community Room
The Flynn Family Community Room is a multi-use, 1,060 square-foot space equipped with a kitchenette. It also has a projector with a projection screen, overhead speakers, and a microphone available for an additional fee.
The room can accommodate numerous seating arrangements including:
- 27 in classroom style
- 50 – 60 in auditorium style
- 32 – 36 in banquet/seated reception
- 12 – 20 in square/rectangle table configuration
- 12 – 18 in U-shape
- 76 for a standing reception
The rental fee for the space is $40 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. Additional equipment is $10 per item requested.

Reading Room
The Reading Room is an intimate and beautiful gathering space, perfect for hosting small meetings, presentations, and seminars.
The Reading Room
The Reading Room is a 770 square-foot space that includes original artwork from local artists, which lends itself to sessions highlighting various art forms, including spoken word, art exhibits, and other related events. A projector and screen can be made available in the room for an additional fee.
The Reading Room can accommodate different seating arrangements including:
- 12 in classroom style
- 8 – 14 in a square, rectangle, or U-shape table configuration
- 35 for a standing reception
The rental fee for The Reading Room is $30 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. Additional equipment is $10 per item requested.

Frequently asked questions
WHEN ARE THE ROOMS AVAILABLE TO RENT?
Rooms are available up until 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Rooms are not available for rent on Sundays and holidays. Saturday rentals are available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m, except on holiday weekends. Guests are responsible for ensuring their event party vacates the property by closing time.
ARE FOOD AND BEVERAGES ALLOWED?
Food is only allowed in the Flynn Family Community Room. Food is not allowed in the Reading Room.
The possession or consumption of any alcoholic beverages is restricted to wines for the reserved community room only. All other alcoholic beverages are NOT ALLOWED. All alcoholic beverages shall not be possessed or consumed anywhere outside the reserved room, nowhere on the property of BROWNstone, whether indoors or outdoors. Alcoholic beverages should not be served or made available to any persons under the age of 21, under any circumstance.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
In order to reserve the room up to 50% deposit is required to hold and confirm your reservation date and time. This is required for all events including banquets, receptions, meetings, and other recurring reservations. Deposits are refundable if the reservation is cancelled at least five (5) business days prior to the event.
The deposit is due along with a completed Request Form at least ten (10) days prior to the date of your event.
In the event Model Cities incurs any costs associated with your use of the room, including but not limited to damages, cleaning, disposal of refuse, removal of decorations, and/or any other activity designed to replace the room to its original condition, additional costs may be assessed.
HOW DO I ACCESS THE SPACE (DAY OF)?
To gain access to the space, you’ll need to coordinate with Model Cities staff to get the key during norma business hours (Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.).
Keys to space must be returned to the designated drop box on site at the end of the event. Model Cities staff will provide instructions on the location and use of the drop box.
For keys that are not returned at the end of the event a $100 lock reconfiguration fee will be assessed.
CAN I DECORATE THE ROOM?
Because the rooms are used for various purposes, we ask that guests take special care in their use of the space. Any decorations used must be freer standing. Guests using the room cannot attach or secure, temporarily or permanently, any decorations, banners, streamers, balloons, tape, adhesives, glitter, or any other materials, to the walls, windows, ceilings, floors, tables, or chairs.
DO I NEED TO CLEAN THE ROOM AFTER MY EVENT?
After use, guests are responsible for returning the room to the condition in which it was prior to your arrival. Model Cities staff will provide a room-clean up checklist for your use.
ARE THERE NOISE OR OTHER USE RESTRICTIONS?
Due to the size of the room and the environment of the building, speakers must be kept to a minimum. Live music cannot be plugged into speakers or microphones. Please respect the space and the residents who reside in the BROWNstone property.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify Model Cities at least five (5) business days in advance for a full refund. Please allow ten (10) business days to process any refunds.
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES OR RULES?
Model Cities at its discretion may require you to hire on-site security for your event.
Model Cities is not responsible for any loss, injury, claims and/or demands that BROWNstone or Model Cities, its successors, and/or consigns may suffer as a result of your use or misuse of the room or BROWNstone property.
