Position: Youth Services Manager

Salary: Low 50’s– Mid 50’s (Depending on Qualifications)

Job Summary: The Youth Services Manager is a part of the leadership team and is responsible for providing day to day programmatic oversight and strategic insight of youth-centered, culturally relevant services that advance the agency’s mission and goals. As a Youth Services Manager, you must work collaboratively—as a connector to resources that increase positive outcomes for youth and their families in the areas of, life skills development, leadership and career readiness, and social and emotional development.

As a Youth Services Manager, you will provide supervision to both internal and external team members, manage program requirements and reporting, and develop and implement innovative programming to better serve youth and families with the greatest barriers, and assist them in reaching their greatest successes.

Youth Services Manager should demonstrate leadership, cultural understanding, respect, resilience, adaptability, conflict resolution, and resourcefulness. In this role, having strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships through collaboration will be vital. Additionally, the person in this role must have good project management, facilitation, and crisis management skills. The Youth Services Manager will be under the direct supervision of the Director of Community Services.

Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree (Master’s degree preferred) in non-profit management or related human services field with at least three years of program management experience working in a non-profit human service agency, preferably in a supervisory or administrative management role.

In lieu of a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree, must have at least six years of experience in non-profit management or related human services field with at least three years of program management experience working in a non-profit human service agency, preferably in a supervisory or administrative management role.

  • Must possess strong relationship and time management skills and demonstrate proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should have previous experience in grants management.
  • Knowledge of and working experience with youth, teens and/or high-risk populations that are culturally diverse, required.
  • Applicant must have the ability to lead and provide support using culturally responsive approaches and build collaborative working relationships.
  • Previous experience working in an urban community is a plus.
  • A valid Minnesota Driver’s license is required along with a good driving record.
  • Must be able to transport clients as needed, operate a dependable car, and maintain current auto insurance and be able to work in the evenings and on weekends as needed.
  • A Criminal Background Screening is required for this position.
