Family Support Services

Through our Family Support Services (FSS) department, Model Cities’ offers an array of programs that are culturally competent and flexible in service delivery methodology. Services offered focus on strengthening and stabilizing the family unit in a way that minimizes intimidation and acknowledges cultural diversity. FSS programs and services are designed to improve the quality of life of high-risk individuals and families by:

• Providing effective prevention and early intervention social support;
• Improving individual and family stability through culturally competent and strength-based case management; and;
• Increasing access to housing and community based services.

Referrals for FSS services come from a variety of sources, including departments within Ramsey County’s human services as well as Ramsey County’s Coordinated Entry system. The FSS service area includes St. Paul and surrounding suburbs.
