Job Description:

The Housing Support Services Manager provides professional-level management and coordination of our agency’s supportive services for families who have experienced homelessness and are living in permanent supportive housing. Our Supportive Housing Team has years of experience supporting families to achieve their personal goals and maintain housing stability. Our work environment requires critical thinking combined with the ability to hold compassion and accountability for self and others. As a Housing Support Services Manager, you will lead and provide supervision to the Supportive Housing Team, manage program requirements and reporting, be a part of the agency’s management team, and develop and implement new programming to better serve families with the greatest barriers, to assist them in reaching their greatest successes. Housing Support Services Manager should demonstrate leadership, cultural understanding, respect, resilience, adaptability, conflict resolution, and resourcefulness. In this role, interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships through collaboration will be vital, as well as crisis management skills. The Housing Support Services Manager will be under the direct supervision of the Director of Community Services.

 

Minimum Qualification:

  • Baccalaureate degree (Master’s degree preferred) in non-profit management or related human services field with at least three years of program management experience working in a nonprofit human service agency, preferably in a supervisory or administrative management role.
  • In lieu of a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree, must have at least six years of experience in non-profit management or related human services field with at least three years of program management experience working in a nonprofit human service agency, preferably in a supervisory or administrative management role.
  • Must possess strong relationship and time management skills and demonstrate proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should have previous experience in grants management.
  • Applicant must have the ability to lead and provide support using culturally-responsive approaches and build collaborative working relationships.
  • Must have experience working with high risk populations and/or special needs populations that are culturally diverse.
  • Knowledge of supportive housing and supportive services for formerly homeless individuals and families, a plus.
  • Previous experience working in an urban community is a plus. Valid Minnesota Driver’s license required with a good driving record, be able to transport clients as needed, operate a dependable car and maintain current auto insurance.
  • Able to work in the evenings and on weekends as needed. Criminal Background Check required for this position

Compensation: High 40’s–Low 50’s (Depending on Qualifications)
