Salary: $25 per hour (all inclusive)

 

Job Summary:The Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood (SPNN) has engaged Model Cities of St. Paul to carry out Family Coaching services to assist SPPN in meeting the terms and conditions of the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood Legislative Grant.  Model Cities will provide wrap around services that aim to reduce multigenerational poverty through increased supports for families. Coaches will provide opportunities to reduce inequalities while improving outcomes for students and families that increase their likelihood to maintain stability and support learning.

 

Family coaches will monitor, support and connect families to culturally specific community-based services and activities that help them prevent crisis and learn how to successfully navigate challenging life situations that impact their children’s ability to learn. Coaching services will be tailored to meet the immediate needs of the family and are intended to reduce children’s absences from school, while also increasing family stability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree or at least 5 years of progressive experience working with families and children or a related human services field.
  • Previous experience working with “highly mobile “populations, a plus.
  • Applicant must have a good driving record, a valid Minnesota driver’s license and valid auto insurance as required by Model Cities.
  • Applicant must also be able to transport clients as needed for activities and upon contracting, be able to meet requirements of a DHS Net Study background check.
